UCM PGY 1 Onboarding Timeline & To-Do List

This list will be updated as the timeline progresses, please feel free to check back!

Immediate:

  • Add the following email addresses to your safe sender/contact list so that you do not miss important onboarding/orientation-related communications:

  • If you do not have a Social Security Number (SSN), please contact Pam Urbanczyk at Pamela.Urbanczyk@uchicagomedicine.org ASAP.
  • If you are applying for an OPT, please contact Pam Urbanczyk at Pamela.Urbanczyk@uchicagomedicine.org ASAP.
  • If you will be unreachable between match and orientation for more than 2 weeks, please email GMEOffice@uchicagomedicine.org.

Due March 31st (some require multiple steps, so start ASAP):

  • Complete the Demographic and Contact Information Form sent to you via RedCap.
  • Schedule your Pre-Employment appointment via Calendly (see link in your welcome email).
  • Initial submission of licensure application via IDFPR’s portal
    • You will receive a link from MedHub with instructions on how to complete this process.
    • If you do not have a Social Security Number (SSN), please contact Pam Urbanczyk at Pamela.Urbanczyk@uchicagomedicine.org ASAP.

Due 3 weeks after receipt of the email notification: UCM Contract + ACLS plans survey

  • A link will be sent to you via MedHub to complete your contract with The University of Chicago Medical Center.
  • Click on the link and type your last name to log in to the portal.
  • For the contract item, you must click to open/view the contract before you can sign.
  • To apply your signature, you will be required to electronically sign your name as it appears above the signature box.
  • If you do not receive the email from MedHub within 1 week, check your junk/spam folder and then reply to this email if you do not find it.

Early-April: Invitation to participate in Well-Being Orientation You will receive a notification on how to schedule a Well-Being Orientation session directly from Perspectives. Please check your spam and junk mail if you have not received a notification by April 15. Participation is strictly voluntary. This virtual session will be completely confidential and neither UCMC, NorthShore, nor your program will know whether or not you scheduled or attended the session.

Pre-Employment Online Modules (You will not be granted access until June 1st): June 1-June 12: Complete 15-20 hours of online modules.
